From February 28 through March 7, 2015, a team will provide for the physical needs, as well as the spiritual needs, of the Honduran people. Follow us as we document the preparations and the planning, the training and the team-building, the going and the growing as we serve the LORD Jesus, our One and Only Savior, and the people of Honduras.

Our 2012 and 2013 missions are here as well ...

From Wisconsin to Honduras ... 2013: Arriving in Honduras

Hola todo el mundo!!  (Hello Everyone)

We're back from Honduras ... we had a wonderful experience and we have so much to share with you but since I am simply "exhausted", this first post will be light.

We left town at 1:00am on Saturday, September 28 ... on a bus headed to the airport.

Here are our two male team leaders (remember, we combined with another church to form one team) ... waiting to board the plane in Chicago.

Travel went pretty well ... to, within and from Honduras.  We thank the LORD for all modes of our transportation and that it was safe and basically uneventful.

Some lovely views from the airplane ...

On our flight down from Houston to Tegucigalpa, the cabin of the plane was (to most of us) quite warm ... too warm ... several of us had to shed our layers.  However, to the woman (most likely Honduran) who was sitting in the seat across from me, it must have been a bit chilly!

On Sunday, we went to worship at the same church which we would be serving on Monday and Tuesday.

In the afternoon, we went to El Patio to share a wonderfully delicious meal ...

Then we went to the park that overlooks the city and took a photo of our entire team!!

We had a great day relaxing from our travels and preparing for our week of "Brigade".

Here is a view overlooking the city...

There's even a castle in Honduras - can you believe it??  This is only the equivalent of about two blocks away from the Mission House!  Several of us would have really enjoyed a better look, however, we hear the neighbors aren't very "neighborly".

Next Up: Brigade Day Number One
