From February 28 through March 7, 2015, a team will provide for the physical needs, as well as the spiritual needs, of the Honduran people. Follow us as we document the preparations and the planning, the training and the team-building, the going and the growing as we serve the LORD Jesus, our One and Only Savior, and the people of Honduras.

Our 2012 and 2013 missions are here as well ...

Honduras Approaches ...

Hola!

We are fast approaching our mission trip to Honduras on February 28, 2015.  We will again be spending a week serving our LORD in this beautiful country that is infected by severe poverty.

Did you know?
Honduras is among the poorest nations of the world.  It is a nation of neglected and abandoned children and adults in dire need of help.  Many families are locked into a devastating cycle of disease, unemployment and illiteracy.  World Gospel Outreach is helping defeat poverty in Honduras while bringing the hope of the Gospel of Jesus Christ.  More than half of Honduras' population are children, the majority of them living in extreme poverty.

Many children become "street children", often numbering in the thousands, who are then prone to 'extermination' by ruthless groups claiming social cleansing of a "nuisance".  Pepenadores, or garbage dump children are more prevalent in Honduras than in any other country in the Americas.

World Gospel Outreach is working hard to change this for the children of Honduras.  Rancho Ebenezer (or The Ebenezer Ranch) is a lively 90-acre campus that serves as home to abandoned, orphaned and displaced children from birth to 18 years of age.  The children are provided caring homes, experiencing a loving family life under the guidance of attentive caregivers and mentor parents who look to their physical and spiritual needs daily, teaching them to trust Jesus Christ with their lives.  They also receive a vital bilingual education and vocational training.  The Bridge House program meets young adults with hands-on support and encouragement while they learn life skilss, work toward personal goals and explore the application of Christian faith in their lives.

Rancho Ebenezer is where our mission team of 25 people will be serving!  Ranch Serve Teams can be involved in a variety of ways from construction projects to children’s outreach.  The focus of the work is to show the Hondurans the love of Christ and improve their physical environment.  Projects could include a variety of jobs needing to be done at The Ranch or helping fix a roof of a family in the community that doesn’t have the means to do it themselves.  Additionally, we may provide a concrete floor to a family that desperately wants to keep their children healthier and safe from parasites.  Activities are also planned to serve and interact with the children who reside under the care of Ebenezer Ranch.
