This past Monday we had our second fundraiser at the Pizza Ranch! What? Another reason to go eat at the Pizza Ranch - why, of course, we'll be there!!
Friends, be sure to read all the way to the end of the post. There's some extra special Ranch news ...

Here's some happy Pizza Ranchers!
These two lovely people, Sue and Martin, came all the way from England! WOW! Now, that's some serious supporting!!! Okay, ... really they just happen to be here because their first grandchild was just born about two weeks ago and, of course, they had to come here to meet the little treasure. We're so happy you are here to show us your support and visit with us. We sure do love these two!
CONGRATULATIONS to them on their first grandbaby!!
¡Felicidades!
Here's another lovely photo with my sister ... and now Molly too, who passed the photographer-baton to Brynn who was all to eager to take on the role!!
In this photo, Brynn actually took the photo of herself!
Well done, Brynn! ¡Bien hecho!
OH MY! That sure is a BIG scoop!!
Some more very happy Ranchers! The little guy on the right was blushing up a storm when Brynn asked if she could take his photo! Hilarious!
We sure do have F-U-N at the Ranch!!
The second fundraising night at the Pizza Ranch was as successful as the first night and a wonderfully tasty and fun time was had by all! Around $670 was raised and will be given to a team member who is quite deficient on funds for the trip. We have heard that there is another team member, one of the nurses, who is also behind on the funds. We'd ask that you PLEASE PRAY for this individual and for God's provision and Presence for her. She is feeling quite discouraged.
And now ... for the extra special news!!
This is the part that reminds us that our fundraisers aren't just about fundraising ~ they are events that open us the opportunity to reach a multitude of people for Christ ~ AMEN!!!

During the night, a man and his family came in to the Pizza Ranch and, of course, paid for the buffet, chose a booth and went about the business of having their meal. At one point, Brian walked by and offered to remove some of their empty plates and asked if they were enjoying themselves and if there was anything they'd like (as in a special-order pizza from the kitchen, maybe?). The man was a bit surprised (by the wonderful service - way to go, honey) and asked what was going on. The man realized shortly after they arrived that SOMETHING was going on by the "buzz" of all the people and because the shirts that all of us were wearing stood out. Brian shared about our fundraising for the mission trip and explained the purpose of the mission. The man and his family were very interested and Brian proceeded to tell them about the churches that were involved and mentioned that any one of them would be welcoming to him and his family if they decided to "check 'em out". They seemed interested and after only a few minutes of conversation, we had several more supporters! To a man who just decided to stop in that night, Brian reflected Jesus! Please pray that this man chooses Jesus and leads his family to make the same choice.
At the end of the night, Stacy, one of our team members who was still there helping to clean up after the Ranch had closed, was able to speak to one of Ranch employees in-depth about our mission, church, Jesus - the whole gammat!! Can you believe it?? Woo Hoo! Kudos to Stacy! Please pray that this young man chooses Jesus too!
Think about all the CHOICES you get to make each and every day. Do any of them hold greater eternal significance?
Please pray for each of us going on this mission trip to be confident in our role to simply TELL the TRUTH about our LORD and SAVIOR, ... that we may be empowered by the Spirit to tell it in a way that positively impacts each person we come in contact with. Please pray also for the Hondurans we will meet ... that they too will be softened by the Spirit and open to the TRUTH, enabling them to choose Jesus.
